Hips don't lie but words?

Love is a euphemism for Libido the mute lad shouted.
Liking is the stronger & more honest path to glory.
Then the nice priest gave him a Mona Lisa smile
took the last three letters in the new defined love
and announced them husband and wife.

they say - love is a play of hormones..

I think that love (attraction, libido, etc.) brings people together, but liking and friendship will keep them together.

Well said Dew Drops! :)

Love is a funny word, meaningless and shallow. It is full of lies and deception.I am sick of this word.
Yes to me,love is when my hormones betray me and make me act like a lunatic.
Very well said Doc!

Love, liking or whatever we tend to define and redefine is nothing but a refelection of our most recent experiences as well as our individual perspective to it.

No generalisation is possible. Even when people think they agree they may be miles away from a real oneness of understanding.

Interesting post. You always use a nice play on words.

I agree with David.

DD - Life is a play of hormones in general :-)

David - love can evaporate fast as it appears suddenly. Liking is the more persistant entity.

Spooky - poor notorius little hormones :-D

Behrooz - there is unity in the difference perhaps.

Juliana - tnx

Jac - but in the end heart is only a tough rough-working muscle & Love is just another 4-lettered word ;-)

I read somewhere,I don't remember where, that "I would rather fall in chocolate than .. " :))

David said...

Kimia, I have read that chocolate stimulates some of the same nerves in the brain as love.

Maybe lack of love is why I eat so much chocolate! ;)

Dr O2 said...

kimia - well I don like chocolate! does than mean I have to fall in love!??

David - Hey David I guess ya have my share of appetite for choclate! I have non!! no affection to the dark famous figure :-S

NO such thing called love before u actually get laid! Its just plain lust...

Love grows much much later... once u r in that bond, husband n wife bond. u fall in love only after this bond happens and that love is well n truly eternal, heavenly.. or all the much cliched terms u can add up!

Is love only a manifestation of of the physical need???

I thnk i better sue Lata Mangeshkar for singing

"sirf ehsaas hai yeh
rooh se mehsoos karo
pyaar ko pyaar hi rehne do
koi naam na do"

and making me believe in it.. ~grin~

Am I sounding naive? I think I rather be naive than believe otherwise..

love? I doubt it
husband and wife will never have that lasting passion for each other which lovers do!

It's the affection that matters and the most important, lust, that animal instinct

koutilya - :-) insightful comment.

rose - I believe love is not a single word with a single meaning!

cytherea - Emotions are sometimes helpful but only sometimes ;-)
