I suspect that the order of these words is quite different depending on which news channel you are watching; for example: Fox News probably has Terrorism as #1; CBN (Pat Robertson's Christian Network) likely headlines with Gay Marriage; and no doubt Al Jazera starts its broadcast with Bush's latest Funniest (or most unintelligibly delivered sabre rattling) video quote of the day. I mostly watch CNN, they tend to be a bit more objective, but they still are quite obsessive about disasters, tragedies, and horribly violent crimes. Where can a person go to get real news about the "real world"?
I guess we have to ask some of those media moguls ..Pew..Isn’t that so sad many people just die everyday because lack of healthy water but most of the attention is paid on stupid people or stupid issues?!Human lives versus elections?!!
You are so right Doc! Wouldn't be nice to wake up and find the words that were most cited were things like: transformation, healing,joy... But I'm not sure what our pundits would do with stories like that.
Hi Mehraban, I think you have broken the code, Bush is a big problem for me too! I am so ready for the November elections, and for the impeachment proceedings that will hopefully follow! :D
