"Necessity" might be the mother of inventions, but "Laziness" is surely the grandma.
---
Hail The Great Laziness For It Is The Sole Motivation Towards Progression.
It acts just as the rope-tied-carrot held in front of our long-eared images, driving us forward towards a life filled with more laziness or the polite equivalent; Comfort!
---
Laziness is the pioneer in each & every aspect of this planet. The first basic molecule in each & every object. The opening sound in the sentences we say or the alphabet we use to spell out our ideas...

"Was it not for laziness, we'ld be still living in caves..."

PAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA....@ the cartoon.
Ok, me done laughing. :) :)
Ouch,ouch:(
The poor mans balls! luckily our women are more civilized;)Did I LOL after looking at the photo? nice one.
when neccisity and invention are married an Iranian is born:)
Couldn't you find a lazier excuse to publish the photo? I was lost in thinking 'what happens next?'
Or: 'So that's why man decided to get a job and be patriarch!' In other words, it must have been really painful to be just lazy those days, as the photo screams out!!!
Ola
Well that pic is a bit startling especialli from you
There are some inventions or better to say creations that took their rise in aesthetics and have no relation with laziness :) I admit that they are in minority.
This is so funny because I always say that 'laziness is the mother of invention'. I don't think anyone can dispute that if they really think about it!
I hope I never meet this cave woman!! I think cave living probably wasn't so bad (except for cave bears and lots of creepy crawlies!). It was the invention of agriculture that started the human race on its long downhill slide.
The pic gave me the idea how I might treat my guy next time to make him comply ..Geez I know it gonna hurt him!
hahaha..that picture so crude.
i can be so lazy at times. even to put the clothes into the washing machine also is like pulling a big rock. compared to younger days in boarding school, we only did handwashing...
well guys, had a coach-potato prepared for this post but in the last seconds this one appeared which had a sense of the cavemen & also the hidden sense of laziness I find lying beneath it all. Then agn maybe I was too lazy to find another pic ;-) so out of laziness my brain created the link :-D
Suraya83 - the photo is too distractive I admit :-)
Frank - well if we go on this laziness path we might get to a stage where the pain is preferable in comparison to moving towards sexual attractions!! oh oh...
Behrooz - sorry Behrooz jan I was all lost till I got to the point in laziness where I pictured men too lazy to move towards their common motivation worldwide & prefer the main we find the equivalent as delivery in women. :">
em - yeah, very mood related. The words which are all but lost due to the distractive pic were somewhat what stormed through the brain section & the pic a result of eye-guidance ;-)
Kimia - are U sure U ain't trying to defend laziness through those words ;-) JK. well might be multifactorial cases where laziness changes name into sth more familiar?
LW - weird how we work ourselves out for a better, more peaceful, more comfortable or instead of all that lazier life. Spending life for a goal like that... :-) we are weird creatures...
david - well hope we don reach a stage where we need to be hunted. ;-)
Agriculture was also for lesser movement. Instead of searching for food & take the distance & time to search we decided things should be steps away ;-) How many times we've been thankful not to be living in the stone-age or wild wild west while cowboys ruled!!
Spooky - I appologize to your guy from this tribune for revealing the weak point ;-)
NBB - The pic apart from the crudity has a bitter reality underneath...
Yeah I hear U NBB! I also used to enjoy sessions of cooking or sometimes enjoyed a walk or cycling but now it is microwaves & car eveytime :-S How will our race look like while technology releifs us the motivation??
I don't think that the caricature has anything to do with laziness.
Or does it ??
I can’t say exactly why, for sure just yet, but somehow I needed that. It has something to do with trying to hear myself think and to do that I need to stop being busy. The cartoon is a hoot and I can’t say exactly why, for sure just yet, but somehow I can tell it has something to do with the post~~I'm sure~~but I’m still working on it. I think I’ll have an afternoon medium dry sherry and think about it….-;)
(Glad I found your blog, it’s very interesting.)
I suppose that I am a creature of modern living, so I am not particularly eager to chuck it all and live in a cave. :) However, what I said about agriculture, was from the point of view of one of my former professors of anthropology who made some interesting arguments. Prior to agriculture, humans lived in small groups which hunted, gathered, and divided all labors. Everyone had to pull his or her weight. Studies of modern hunter gathering societies show them to be very democratic. The leader leads by virtue of his or her abilities to help the group. Thus, the leader is chosen by consensus of the group. Also, women are much more highly respected and valued in such small groups. Agriculture freed up a lot of time and allowed for a very lazy aristocratic class to emerge. These people led by virtue of the power and wealth that they accumulated. The purpose of their leadership was often to get more power and wealth, not to help the group as a whole. I am sure these points are all debatable, but I find them compelling.
"Explanation:"
What's the ONLY common action or motivation for the laziest GUY you know to move his ass??
What if laziness even surpasses that level??
Now take another look at photo & the text ;-)
jac - a further thought perhaps ;-) tnx for the visit.
Frenchindian - well it took me a long time to decide to put this pic on ;-)
david - hmmm. great point! well I find myself in agreement with the statement.
Yet agn I am a million times thankful I am born in a time where enough laziness means are provided ;-) even sometimes when I imagine living in old days I picture myself with my car ;-)
mininside - tnx 4 the visit :-)
when i was a child i always thought the same way, well...my dad told me this when i was very young and it was stuck in my head but nowadays i don't believe that anymore :P
sof!a - what thought have you replaced the old one with??
It is great dr:
I was really getting a laugh out of it. And,
the funniest thing happened a few days later. Some people were talking about laziness and its productive elements and I was trying to remember just exactly what it was you said. I couldn't but I was getting a great chuckle! It's been very helpful in the past few days. So, thanks and I think the cartoon with it is the capstone.
