History Is For Fools...

The boy in the crowd suddenly shouted in protest;
I hate you, your so-called gods & your every religion, bounding me to the boundaries of necessity. Your gods are nothing more than imaginary red-lines to protect you & your beliefs against your fears. Advertising freedom, peace & unity huh…

The lady standing beside him slowly backed away with the fears of an eminent lightning aiming the lad, would hit her by mistake…

She hasn't noticed yet that even listening to those unclean, nonsense words might end up to hot lead inside her ears in hell.
Mostly in the ear closer to the boy.

Oh, I love that!

I agree with the boy in the crowd that religious beliefs are very closely tied to fears (mostly fear of death, I suppose). But, I think there is more. There is a longing in most people to belong to a group. To be accepted and loved. A belief shared by a group of people helps to tie them together. I have never been much of a group person, although there have been times when I felt very lonely that I wished that I could belong.

Omid, the slow ruminations of my mind have finally produced a new post. :)

Dear Kimia - fantastic. well maybe she felt the heat & decided to back up :-)

Dear Livewire - Happy U like it.

Dear David - well couldn have said it better. Yep thats what I C in it as well. A unity-based phenomenon, which is mostly effective in ruling a group of people.

The woman had failed to believe in the power of the god she worshiped doubting the accuracy in the aim from the long distance perhaps ;-)

The boy in the crowd suddenly shouted in protest:
I have become a non believer because of the way religion was "preached" to me.
Your Gods are "money,power and self infatuation"
I sighed and said nothing.
