When arms were upper limbs...

The call to run towards arms was never true.
A new version of rabbit running towards the snake's carrot-painted fangs
or maybe votes ruinning towards the idiots running for the running-us role.
& yet we still stand in every single line, to do what we are told.
Well-trained children, aren't we?

I do a lot of standing in line at Wal-Mart. They have like 50 check out lanes, but only five are open. Sometimes, I wait as long as 20 minutes to check out! Earlier this evening, I was in Wal-Mart and something unusual happened. The power went off for a few seconds. The gigantic store went completely dark. A woman screamed. I imagined trying to get out ot the store in the darkness and bumping into all sorts of merchandise and people. Of course, I was in the very back of the store! Well, the power came back on and I laughed. A complete stranger a few feet away looked at me and he laughed too. Even more amazing was that I only had to wait 5 minutes in the check out line.
