Ineluctable Obduracy

The beauty of wearing glasses is that you can choose, limit or extend your visual field & visual power at will.

Now my eyes swim behind the oval lenses of my new see-through glasses instead of my old ones which had frosted glasses through which strangers could only be seen but not identified.

The difference now, is that I can identify people well enough if necessary but have deliberately chosen not to see them at all.

And sometimes is what we choose to look at...or ignore...part of our life?
Of course, when I take off my reading glasses and look in a mirror miraculously I have lost all the lines around my eyes and look so much younger. Amazing.

I wear contact lenses, so its a bit harder to pick and choose what I want to see. ;) However, I am quite nearsighted, so without any corrective devices, the world is quite blurred indeed, not unlike your frosted glasses. I have been looking for a pair of Disaster Sunglasses like the ones in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but I haven't found them yet. :)

Yes, you do sound like a stubborn person. Sometimes that'll get you places :)

There is none so blind as those who choose not to see.
Sometimes life (and people) seem a whole lot better when you look it (them)through rose-tinted glasses. ;)

Glasses? In that case, I think it's about time you updated your profile pic. The monkey seems to have problems focussing too.
