So true but please be quick and add that you mean Iranian mothers. I have rarely seen such devotion and such tolerance in mothers in the west; it does not mean that the children are unhappy and or they wish they had better mothers (possibly some of them do wish so, but I don't know)what I mean is that the mother you picture is a mother we know of not the westerners. They are not ready to remain an all forgiving, sacrificing mum all their lives.
Or to be on the safest side possible: those mothers are more seen in Iran than in here.

In with the flowers (gathered on a roadside) brought by my eldest son and the drawing from my daughter and the hugs from my littlest guy, I had the best mother's day greeting ever from one of the street guys (we were serving free lunch from my shop, because there are a lot of hungry people around)"Happy Mother's Day--you are the mother of all of us!"
Really, I think mothers all over the world have great devotion to their children (though probably we show it differently, according to our cultures.)
I hope your mother had a very happy Mother's Day, I tried to make it special for mine. :)

I did nothing for my mum. Is that the same day in Iran? :( anyways, some of these devotions just make children more responsible, more worried and uncomfortable. I don't want to be the whole world of my mum.

david - yep my mom had a very good day but some weeks earlier as mother's day here is on a different date!
mariamusic - an Iranian mother :-) I admit they sometimes get hurt but it is the easiest thing on this planet to make it up even with a simple smile.

Kimia - nah we had earlier in the year. I got my mom a nu perfume & also a gold coin. Not enough but sign of respect.
They don' even expect gifts.
