Sad Wings Of Fortune...

Life is full of different one way streets which lead to the same destination. There are various signs on the way. You try to navigate your way towards the target you've set off for but after a long drive through the impossible, when support is more than essential from the watching crowd, instead of all the cheers & jeers, you see them holding up the "Time To Die" sign.

& in the last painful, cold & lethal seconds, as your memories flash by with a regretful theme, you come to wonder if they would face a different fortune driving the same car you had inherited from the last contestant.

---

I am not so sure anymore if it is the old age that kills people due to exhaustion. It is perhaps the young age killing the exhausted due to negligence & ignorance.

My friend Omid, you have me a bit concerned. In this post, you seem to see life as a long path devoid of enjoyment. There have been times in my life when I have had a similar perspective. Depression can make life seem very painful and even pointless. I wish more positive feelings for you, hopefully in the near future!

Frank - This is in our nature it seems. A case of knowing but not avoiding the path.

Exorcista - tnx 4 the comment & also for the visit.

spooky - Life is a one way street. We all share the same limits. Undo is not included in our powers sadly...

jarvenpa - tnx

em - the bad point is when we learn how to live, we are shown the time to die sign...

david - tnx for the concern but me in a good mood except for a visit to the cemetry & then a look around among relatives, me, life, ...

life is in fact a joyful journey but can we avoid the sad ending or should we prepare ourselves to accept it?

Glad you are feeling good. :) I think you deliberately try and fool us with your riddles! ;)

Well, I suppose we could take a page from the book Brave New World and die in the blissful intoxication of a Soma overdose.

iberico - tnx for the visit.

sof!a - well ain't a life sad that death is preferable in comparison ;-) The sad part is being shown the exit while it's yet not the time.

David - well we ain't got a choice do we ;-)

I dreamt about the end of this journey several times. I have dreamt of the moment of death and I believe at that time it is not a sad or scary happening. I think the time when we reach to the sign "time to die" is the time that we are totally ready for that with no regret or wish to live more.

Nice point. It seems like there isn't enough care for the elderly these days. I work in the medical feild and sometimes get to read the medical records of the elderly. It's sad what things that have to go through. I hope I can take good care of my parents when they get to a certain age.

Kimia - I am so used to death that I don't really fear the last moment but I will be lying to say I fear lonliness & rejection by the environment. :-S

Juliana - yeah parents & for me grandparents still :-) that's the least we can do.

It’s a funny thing about the past, I never want to go back and do that again. But I think that the idea about the exhaustion is interesting. I usually feel like exhaustion is never ending.
