ZZZZZ...ZZZZZ...ZZZZZ...

We live to sleep. We work, we study & we breathe to sleep. Sometimes alone sometimes with people who want to test our beds & then the next day we wake up to sleep once again until the day we forget how we used to wake up…

It seems to me we all retire on a high. Ending our performances with yet another goal achieved while everyone remembers the last time we’ve gone to sleep.

---

Some of us are heavy-sleepers while some others sleep is as light as a feather. To know your type, wigh yourself before going to bed & once again when you are snoring. The weight difference will be the weight of your sleep. Good luck!

---

There are also people in our lives telling us bedtime stories until we pass out, feeling we are best when totally unconscious. If the number of such people devided by the ones who prefer your awake form is bigger than 1 then you'll either miss breakfast or you'll have to eat it alone...

---

Reminder: Don't forget to brush your teeth & visit the W.C before hand...

Ah time to sleep...

Ah yes, lovely post. I tell my dear partner he has missed his career in the CIA doing sleep deprivation torture--he has the sometimes maddening but sometimes endearing habit of waking me up around 4 or 5 in the morning to read passages from some exciting political or philosophical book.
Like em I'd be pleased--and astonished--to get 8 straight.
Must work on weighing myself while I snore...

So does this mean that you have managed to get some decent rest or that sleep has been a slippery bugger for you lately? You'd be proud - I did quite a bit of sleeping this week. I quite liked it, too! =)

I think my specific gravity exceeds that of gold when I am asleep. So, I must be quite valuable! ;)

I wish you pleasant dreams! :)

I say there will be plenty of time to sleep when you are dead.
For now I chose to stay awake (both literally and and metaphorically speaking) and stay alert.
Who knows what nightmares may come while you sleep? And as for those bedtime stories... don't they always end with, "and they lived happily ever after"? Hmmm...

em - 8 hours I haven' experienced in years :-S Yet my body has got used to it. Wish both of us some more resting time...

jarvenpa - wow 4-5! that is even earlier than my regular 6! And yet my family complain abt the habit! Ah I guess you are suffering way more ;-)

LW - unfortunately not but starting 10 days later I can get far more sleep as my everymorning hospital spree will halt for 3-4 months. That is sth I would like to experience after all these years...

david - i find that quite a gift from up above. It is years I have not experienced deep sleeps with no tension over an eminent call ;-)

Chitty - it is the best to be awake among the sleepyheads we are living among but even through that channel you find out life is turning hard for you as U try to think things over. Then you slowly begin to feel your eyes get heavy...

I have had many sleepless nights in a row which have screamed for a big rest that has never come :-S perhaps in 10 days I can...

Sleep is highly overrated. I suffer from the inability to sleep at any type of normalcey. But on a rare occasion, I sleep soundly for a few hours. I wonder what the world does when that happens.

NBB - fortunately we ain't got them in winter as winters sometimes get really cold here. But in summers I go mad because of them ;-)

Spyder - I also am inable to sleep for long but still a 1 hr or 2 of sleep seems sweet & reenergising...

I'm telling you buddy, your formula about breakfast maybe true but the opposite is definitely wrong. It is an unilateral statement.

I never suffer of being sleepless or sleepy.

Kimia - Maybe us doctors have to leave math for the mathematicians ;-) but the formula is somewhat medicine bound :-D

Interesting post. I wish I could get 8 hours straight too. I use the weekends to catch up on what I lost during the week :)

Juliana - weekends ain't different for me. I wake up at the same time. When I am totally out of energy I go for an afternoon nap. It has it's own excitement challenging minutes as they pass by...
