Help, I've Lost My Feathers...

Birds, feathers & the story of flocking together.

Well our race has got no feathers so perhaps the secret of flocking together is lost somewhere in between the lines. Perhaps for us humans it should be something like "People of the same tongue walk together" Or is it also "Obligations stick us together"?

---

P.S: It is probably much the same for birds as well. It ain't about appearance but the language we speak in.

Ah these “Sayings” of simplicity…

In America, its usually more like people with the same skin color and similar financial status stick together. However, I never believed in that sort of crap! I was always an equal opportunity friend. :)

True; and 'language' can be much more than words, too.

I'm typing this listening to a cd of Idir's music (a singer I had never heard of before coming across him on foulla's site). In a language I do not understand, but with a heart I understand with my heart.
And that's what connects us, I think. Something beyond language, beyond surface things.

yepe Jarvenpa, what connect us is deeper than language,or any other "criterion"..it's more heart related and sometimes u hear about a person u 've never seen and u may never see but u still feel u belong to the same world and share the same dream..
Thank u Omid ,i like the post(hmm i always say it..well ,it's true).

Do obligations have something to do with fate?
I think being a human stick us together, and between humans we stick to the people who fate and constraints or obligations force us to stick to.

People find solace and comfort in that which are common to them. They also say great men often think alike and fools seldom differ.
The "feathers" that make us flock together often also pull us apart, don't you think?
Profound post - I love it.

for me as a med-type I have got a few med friends in coparison to my non-med pals and that is somewhat related to the languages we speak in! don' know how this works but my best friends are the english-teachers I worked with. & yet the ones who also speak in French are of further understanding! Language is seriously linked to culture, thoughts & expressing ones ideas & feelings. The vast differences are bridged by our means of communication not our similarities...

spyder - tnx mate.

em - the meaning of a post is as good as the readers see it em. That is probably what the message is about. Of course language here is not seen only as the one with words & sounds. Sometimes just the language in between two staring eyes says it all...

david - that is muchthe same all around the world. The money language, the racism language & ... and of course that ain't a friendship to rely on...

P.S: still awaiting yr nu entry.

livewire - once agn reading through the lines. Sometimes I envy yr eye-sight ;-)

jarvenpa - heart speaks the strongest & most popular language of all. It is what sticks us together beyond the bounderies of our differences. Great take. have to check out that song.

foulla - exactly. Heart is the source to language. I believe language has first developed to speak for the heart. Language is not only in words but also in waves we send through...

kimia - exactly. Obligations are categorised under fate, instinct & need. some also count in Feeling. It is usually a multifactorial concept that links us to others.

chitty - that was the thought behind the post. Umlike other creatures sometimes it is the same feather that set us so apart. It has gone further than flocking. It seems more like a NATURAL SELECTION where the strong eliminate the weak for survival... :-S

to me People of the same "heart" walk together if you can find a good one of course which I am cynical about.
Speaking of birds,it seems they understand each other more than us humans though, we call ourselves the "smartest"species on Earth;)

That is quite profound! And the visual is staggering too.

frank - well said mate. That is quite true. Birds & any other species are much better acting anyways :-)

Barbara - tnx for your comment.
